To get you started I'll give you my best bits of advice. I would suggest for solo ganking that you use a T2 fitted Catalyst since the Hulk had a small buff to EHP recently, especially if you are ganking tanked Hulks in anything other than 0.5 space. So, here we go: 1.) Gunnery Gunnery Gunnery. Gunnery 5 Rapid Firing 4 Small Hybrid Turret 5 Motion Prediction 3 Small Hybrid Turret Specialization 3-4 Sharpshooting 3-4 Surgical Strike always a plus! Get it to 3-4. It increases your alpha. Weapons Upgrades 4 - You'll want to use Magnetic Field Stabilizer II's if going solo on a tanked Hulk. 2.) Fitting Skills Engineering 5. No ifs/ands/or butts. You're gonna need all the powergrid you can get Electronics 5 - CPU's gonna be tight. This will be a necessity I believe. Advanced weapons upgrades 1-2. Helps and takes very little time to train if you are still needing powergrid. 3.) Propulsion Jamming (gotta keep the bears from running away!) Propulsion Jamming 1 Navigation 2 4.)Optional (but helpful) Jury Rigging 3 Hybrid Weapon Rigging 1-3 (depending on how much their drawback affects your fittings) This is not an exhaustive list, but it should yield good results. I've honestly had better luck doing it with 2 T1 fitted Catalysts pilots that have decent gunnery skills and maybe a 2% Surgical Strike implant. Now - to the ideal fit! ========================== [Catalyst, Ganker T2 Neutrons] 8x Light Neutron Blaster II (Void S) - 160 rounds Initiated Harmonic Warp Scrambler I 3x Magnetic Field Stabilizer II Small Processor Overclocking Unit I Small Hybrid Burst Aerator I [optional modifications to play with - remove a mag stab, put in a sensor booster with scan resolution script, and swap out the Small Processor Overclocking Unit for a Collision Accelerator Rig. It'll help you lock them faster and you may get off an extra volley or two and possibly catch the pod. =========================== Now I know what you may be saying. It looks pricey, and it kinda is. Probably around 16mil. Keep in mind though that with a good friend to act as scooper and salvager to clean up the carnage you should easily make back what you put into this ship and probably a lot more. T2 salvage from the Hulk and getting your guns and Mag Stab II's back is your first priority. If you net a single Intact Armor Plate from the Hulk you are pretty much already back in the black for the loss of your ship. Also, if you don't care about the security status of your ganker toon and want to ensure that it's more difficult for the miner to come back and get his crap, pod him if you can while you're at it. You probably won't have much time now that Hulks have had a small buff to EHP and if it's above a 0.5 system, but always go for it. You'd be suprised what some people have in their pods. I got a pod recently worth about 760mil! Don't forget to scoop the corpse. They are always a nice trophy to have. Also, have your scooper either grab his ore if he's jetcan mining and use it to build more Catalysts. If you have no interest, flip the can and blow it up. Unless your going to use a Tornado, I don't know of any other ship short of a fully skilled T2 fitted Brutix that will put out the relative DPS you'll need. Remember, you want to try to make back as much ISK as possible from ganking for a sustained campaign. But, if you got the ISK and really don't care, go for broke. An Arty Nado will typically do 8,000-10,000 dmg/volley but with the slight EHP buffs on Hulks it may not be enough to get a 2nd volley off to kill the damn thing before Concordokken.
